If you’re a true Bostonian then you know about a little corner bakery in the North End, by the name of Bova’s. They are a family-owned business and have been around since 1962. Whenever I go, there’s usually a long line down the sidewalk but trust me, it’s well worth the wait. It’s tiny inside, so getting your treats to go is basically the only option. In my opinion, they have the best Boston Cream doughnut I’ve ever had. The filling is light and airy, nestled between a cake-like doughnut, topped with chocolate ganache. It offers the perfect balance of sweetness. But, if you prefer your sugar fix to feed your chocolate lover cravings, then try their s’mores brownie. It’s decadent and perfectly chewy, topped with marshmallows and a graham cracker. They also sell bread, pies, cakes, pastries and more. I would bet money, everything in Bova’s is a 10 or close to it.
