Things to do in Boston

Canvas Studio

Paint After Dark

Not your typical paint night. Canvas Studio in Hyde Park, Ma, hosts a Paint After Dark ™️ Experience that is unique to its brand. You may be wondering what and how? It’s done with a black light to give a luminescent glow-in-the-dark effect. During your session, you’ll receive a stenciled canvas option, and take an unguided paint workshop while vibing to music and enjoying your favorite beverage from the cash bar. The studio is intimate and filled with vibrant art pieces to really inspire the mind frame of a self-appointed Picasso. I really felt like an art-teeest! Fun Fact: Canvas Studio is black owned and has been open since March 2022.

Candle Making Workshop

I am one of the biggest candle lovers, so I don’t mean to be dramatic but making my own customized candle, was a dream. With that being said, I will more than likely never actually burn it but the experience was still worth it. You have the option to choose your candle holder from a variety of colors, pick a scent, and finish it with other optional additions like glitter and dried flowers. Starting with all the elements of a deconstructed candle, the instructor walks you through a step-by-step process of building your candle. Candle making workshops have become more and more popular over the past year or so. Lit Vibes started as a pop up around Boston but will be opening their storefront doors today, February 25th, in Braintree, Ma.

Private Karaoke

Not only can you find traditional, public karaoke at Stage Karaoke in Allston, Ma, but they also offer sessions where you and your friends can rent a private room to really unleash your inner American Idol and get into your comfort zone. During your 2-hour session, you can order room service, which includes apps, entrees, soft drinks and cocktails from their full-service bar. The vibe is very electric, decked out with neon lights and a dark, moody interior. This is the perfect spot for a birthday outing or casual gathering with your friends.
